Rather than enclosing your whole body like a sauna, it directs warmth at one area while you sit or lie nearby. Relax says it uses the same infrared generators as its saunas, mounted in a head that rotates a full 360 degrees on a height-adjustable stand. Relax pitches it at practitioners and wellness studios as well as home users, which fits its size and price.

Key specifications

Spec

Value

Type

Free-standing far infrared lamp

Wavelength

4–14 microns (4,000–14,000 nm)

Power

800 W

Size

22 x 22 x 64 in.

Weight

22 lb listed (Relax's shipping note says 32 lb)

Adjustment

360° rotating head; stand adjusts for height and angle

Heat source

Same infrared generators as Relax saunas, per Relax

Warranty

1 year

Good to know

How it is used: you aim the head at the area you want to warm and adjust distance to change intensity.
