How We Make Money

We earn money when you buy through Comparadar. Here is exactly how, and what we do to keep that from shaping our comparisons.

We sell the products we compare

Comparadar is a store. When you buy a product here, Comparadar (NodiumTech LLC) is the seller of record, and we earn money on that sale. The brand that makes the product ships it to you directly.

Every product you can compare on Comparadar is currently a product we sell. That is a real limitation: our comparisons cover the brands we work with, not every product on the market. We don't present ourselves as a neutral reviewer, and you should weigh our comparisons with that in mind.

Affiliate links

We don't use affiliate links today. If we add them in the future, for example in buying guides that point to products we don't sell, we will label them clearly next to the link so you know we may earn money if you buy.

Brands can't pay for rankings

  • Brands cannot pay for a higher ranking, a "best" label, or placement in a comparison.
  • How much we earn on a product does not decide where it ranks.
  • Brands can send corrections, but we make changes only when they're backed by documentation.

Reviews and endorsements

  • We don't write, buy, or invent reviews or testimonials, and we don't publish star ratings we can't support.
  • If we add customer reviews, we won't hide or remove reviews because they're negative.
  • If anyone connected to Comparadar or a brand posts a review, that connection will be disclosed.
  • If a brand gives us a free product, payment, or anything else of value connected to our content, we'll disclose it on that page.
  • We haven't tested products hands-on yet. We compare published specifications, and we say so.

How we handle conflicts of interest

Because we profit from sales, we have a financial interest in you buying. We manage that conflict by:

  • Using the same spec fields for every product in a category.
  • Showing missing or unclear specs instead of hiding them.
  • Attributing brand claims, such as EMF levels or FDA status, to the brand.
  • Correcting errors when they're reported, including ones that make a product look better than it should.
