Nicebeam 1–2 Person Far Infrared Sauna Cabin with Red Light

Nicebeam's 1–2 Person Full-Body Infrared Sauna is a made-to-order wooden cabin, 120 x 110 x 190 cm (about 47 x 43 x 75 in.), in Canadian hemlock or Canadian red cedar with carbon fiber wall heaters, a carbon floor heater and built-in red light panels. A 7 in. touchscreen runs the heat, chromotherapy lighting and Bluetooth audio, with a choice of standard, HiFi or Resonance speakers and clear, brown or sand-tinted glass. It runs on 120 V with an 18–65°C (64–149°F) range. Prices run from $3,249 for hemlock with standard speakers and clear glass to $3,599 for red cedar with Resonance speakers and sand glass, and Nicebeam ships each cabin in a wooden crate 35–50 days after the order. It suits a household with a permanent spot for a two-seat cabin that wants red light built into the sauna, and that can wait for a custom build.

Key specifications

Good to know

• Made to order, no returns: Nicebeam builds each cabin to the chosen wood, glass and speaker configuration, quotes 35–50 days to ship, and states that it accepts no returns on this item; it will send replacement parts for anything missing or damaged. That is a different arrangement from the store-wide return window, so read Returns by brand and be sure of the configuration before ordering.
• Freight: at roughly 375–440 lb in a wooden crate, this is a curbside freight delivery. Plan two or more people, a clear path, and inspect the crate before signing.
• Options and price: red cedar adds $100 over hemlock, brown glass adds $50 and sand glass $100, and HiFi or Resonance speakers each add $100 over the standard 4 in. speakers. All 18 combinations are offered here, from $3,249 to $3,599.
• Electrical: Nicebeam says 120 V but publishes no wattage, amperage or plug type, and describes the heater wattage as adjustable. Ask for the electrical sheet before planning a circuit; a two-person carbon cabin typically needs a dedicated circuit.
• Not published: number and wattage of heaters, red light panel specifications, interior dimensions, bench size, door width, EMF readings, and timer range.
• Compared with the Durasage 2-person cabin: Durasage's $3,295 hemlock cabin has six 1,700 W carbon panels and ships from stock; Nicebeam's adds red light panels, a floor heater, a touchscreen and wood and glass choices, but is built to order with no returns.
• Regulatory: Nicebeam labels the red light as 'FDA Registered'. Nicebeam calls its devices 'FDA Registered', which is an establishment and device listing, not a 510(k) clearance, and publishes no registration or clearance numbers. We repeat Nicebeam's wording as its own claim.
• Not ideal for: anyone who needs a sauna within a month, renters, anyone who may want to return it, or anyone with a heart condition or who is pregnant (check with your doctor first).
