Renew Red Light The Wrap Cordless Red & Near-Infrared LED Wrap

$179.00

The Wrap is Renew Red Light's cordless, battery-powered LED wrap. It is a flexible 31.5 x 8.3 in. strip with 82 tri-chip LEDs on the inside, a mesh lining and a Velcro closure, so it fastens around a knee, elbow, calf, shoulder or lower back and runs a 30-minute session from its internal battery. At $179 it is the least expensive device Renew makes. It suits someone who wants a hands-free, go-anywhere red light routine for one joint or muscle group at a time.

Good to know

  • Fit: the extension strap lets the Wrap reach around larger areas such as the lower back or thigh. Renew lists knees, elbows, shoulders, wrists, calves and arms as typical placements.
  • Battery: Renew does not publish battery capacity, run time per charge or charge time. Plan on charging between sessions until you learn how many 30-minute runs you get.
  • Not published: irradiance (mW/cm²) and a flicker statement. Renew gives irradiance figures for its panels but not for the Wrap.
  • Eyes: no eye protection is listed in the box. Keep the LED side facing away from your eyes when you switch it on.
  • Compared with Renew's panels: the Wrap uses two wavelengths (660 and 850 nm); the Small, Large, Panorama and Max panels use six or seven and cover far more area, but need an outlet.
  • Regulatory: Renew states that its devices are not medical devices and are intended for cosmetic use.
  • Not ideal for: covering the face, back or whole body in one session, anyone who wants a published irradiance figure, or anyone taking medication that increases light sensitivity (check with your doctor first).
