RevX Wellness X Tub + LUX 1.5 HP Chiller Acrylic Cold Plunge Tub

The X Tub is RevX Wellness's hard-shell cold plunge: a 34 in. deep acrylic tub with 3 in. foam-insulated walls and adjustable water-flow jets, sold here as a complete system with the LUX High Performance Chiller and Filtration cabinet, aluminum steps and an insulated cover. The 1.5 HP chiller cools to 34°F or heats to 104°F and runs on a standard 110 V outlet, and the LUX cabinet filters to 20 microns and sanitizes with UV and ozone. At $7,500 it is RevX's top-of-range system. It suits a household with a permanent indoor or outdoor spot for a roughly 8 x 3.5 ft footprint that wants a plumbed-in-feel plunge without any actual plumbing.

Good to know

• Delivery: This is a freight-sized order that arrives in several boxes. RevX offers free pickup at its Santa Fe Springs, CA warehouse but recommends delivery because of the size and weight. Plan for two people, check the path to the installation spot, and inspect every carton before signing.
• Power: RevX's FAQ puts the 1.5 HP chiller at up to 11 A and its filtration cabinets at up to 3 A, all on 110 V, and recommends a dedicated 15 A circuit. The chiller needs 12 in. of clearance at the back and sides and 24 in. in front of the exhaust fan, and RevX says not to enclose it without asking first.
• No plumbing: The system is a closed loop: fill with a garden hose, connect the insulated tubing, and the cabinet circulates the water. RevX says setup takes about an hour including the fill.
• Filters: The LUX cabinet takes its own filter size (RevX sells LUX replacement filters in 4- and 8-packs). The standard RevX filter 5-packs and the 1 Year Maintenance Starter Kit filters do not fit it. RevX says to change filters at least every 4 weeks and the water every 1–3 months.
• Not published: water capacity, tub interior dimensions, tub and chiller weights, chiller BTU rating and noise level. RevX mentions downloadable chiller spec sheets but they are not linked on this page; ask RevX if you need them.
• Compared with RevX's inflatable bundles: the Tub Deluxe bundle with a 1.0 HP chiller and X-FLOW cabinet lists at $3,300. The X Tub buys a rigid acrylic shell, thicker insulation, jets, a 1.5 HP chiller with heating, steps and a hard cover.
• Returns: RevX's own policy allows 30 days for unused items in original packaging, with RevX issuing the return label, but excludes items bought on sale; this system is listed at a sale price on RevX's site. See Returns by brand before ordering.
• Not ideal for: renters or anyone without a permanent, level spot with a dedicated circuit, buyers who want a published gallon figure, or anyone who needs to move the tub between seasons.
